Recently a High Tea was held at Stormanston House in North Sydney to celebrate the birthday of Elizabeth McQuoin, the Founder of the North Sydney Mercies, who was born in London in 1819.The guest speaker on this special occasion was Catherine Elliott, a member of the staff of Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College, North Sydney. Catherine, who returned recently from England and Ireland having researched Elizabeth’s family tree, shared her insights into the early days of Elizabeth’s life.
