Advent Week One: The Candle of Hope

Candle 1 (“The Prophet’s Candle”) is purple, lit during the first week of Advent (30 November - 6 December), and symbolizes hope and specifically, the Israelites' hope that the promised Messiah would come and encouraging all of us through our actions to be Christ's hope in the world in which we live.
